Yes, the Mods at SE23.life have disappeared the relevant thread which makes understanding difficult.

The skinny is that there are multiple accusations of serious misbehaviour by the owner of se23.life including sockpppeteering, trolling and worse some of which has been acknowledged. The rest ignored. The consensus is that SE23.life is a valuable asset to the community and that the consequent loss of trust needs to be sorted.

These conversations are currently prohibitted on the forum itself. I leave other to judge if this has been done justifiably. The bottom line is, I think, you would all care more than a s**t if it was EDF at risk.

Hence those have a care for local community forums on our borders need to know what's going on and if there is a solution - help us find it.

I?m confused.. isn?t it just another forum..? If you don?t like it then surely you should just stop looking at it and leave them to get on with it.

I was on West Dulwich Forum for a short while but deleted it as it took boring to a whole new dimension.

I tried to join SE23 as a charity I am involved in is in this area and I was asked to publicise job vacancies and also it's services. Got a message to say I had logged in and I would be contacted with 'log in' code but never heard anything. I decided to advertise the job vacancies on EDF and the charity appointed one of the applicants.

    • @PenguinYou will have to explain this to me bearing in mind your and others outrage at a possible new scheme on Ryedale, and the use by many on this forum of Southwark News to support their reaction. I don't know what precautionary mindset means.  The precautionary principle is that we need to act now for example in tackling climate change rather than wait twenty years for conclusive evidence (that was the situation in 2006 when Stern published his report) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stern_Review
    • Yes, and their sister (?) company Inigo has some interesting Not Modern properties as well! Interesting as in marvelling at people's very varied  tastes 🤣

    • A couple of updates to this terrible event:   1) In 2021, two cousins (one from Penge and one from Streatham) were convicted of murder and sentenced to a minimum of 23 years in prison.
