I pay for three phones by d/d for relatively light users. A few months ago they offered some improvement in what was included in the package which meant upgrading to a different charge band but having a discount applied each month so that I don't actually pay any more.

Guess what, they continually don't apply the discount and I am fed up spending my time trying to get through to them on the phone. I've resorted to emailing them. As of now, about 10 days later I haven't had a response.

Can anyone recommend another company with a package of say 300 minutes and 300 texts? If I wasn't being overcharged by Virgin I'd probably be paying ?10 p.m. on average for each phone (one one them has internet access).

Hubby uses Tescos Mobile. He gets 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 500 MBs for ?10.00. He says there are cheaper contracts too for ?7.50 without data. They are also a "Which Best Buy"and provide a very good customer service.

Edited to say: wasn't sure whether or not you wanted sim only (to which the above applies). But Tescos do other deals with/out phones. Take a look at their website.

    • Palace were at home last night, kicked off at 19.45. The timing sounds about right.
    • The way they were heading, towards the East bound South Circular, and on lights and sirens, wouldn't I think suggest that. I have lived on Underhill for close to 40 years, but it has not formed part of an emergency route until very recently, nor have we had rush hour queues until the LTN introduction. Despite the fact that it is a bus route much of it is residential and doesn't support speeding traffic safely. It's not a route I would chose to put 5 speeding police vans in convoy unless there was no alternative in accessing the A205. Which there now mainly isn't.
    • There were large amounts of police and a couple of TSG vans at London Bridge station last night at a similar time.  Usually that means some sort of Millwall related football clash, but I didn't hang around to find out.
