Steven is a gentle gem.

He has spent the last three weeks helping me get a large house in Underhill rd. re-painted. I?m very glad I found him via the forum.

I have worked in the set-building/exhibition industry as a carpenter and gave him this job as soon as I heard which companies he?d worked for. (Principally imagination.com) 20 years working on their huge high-spec. productions all over the world has shaped him into a streamlined expert finisher who?s happy using any process, coating any product day after day, faster than anyone I?ve met.

He?s a regular time-keeper and at 6 foot three doesn?t even need a step-up to cut in domestic ceilings.

Stephen of True Colours has recently decorated my lounge (1 month ago) and I was very happy with the quality of work and attention to detail shown by him. He is due to decorate my master bedroom within the next two weeks and I have no doubt in being satisfied by his workmanship.

Would highly recommend.

Stephen (ably assisted by his colleague James) have just undertaken a complete decoration of our apartment.

The work was undertaken with a short lead-in time and in addition to providing an excellent finish, both Stephen and James could not have been more patient or accommodating in relation to several other matters that came-up in the context of the job.

Apart from the quality of the work, both Stephen and James were great to have around.

I would have no reservations in recommending Stephen and James and it is our intention go back to them for any future work that may be required.

Given a house full of cracks and the odd water stain Stephen and James have transformed 4 rooms so far into quite frankly hotel quality rooms. The care and attention to detail is second to none, coupled with the great communication and lovely personalities it's really a pleasure to deal with them. Heartily recommend them to anyone although tbh I'd rather keep them secret so they have time to do a few other rooms for us in future!!

Stephen has done an amazing job painting three rooms in my house that were all in a bit of a state, including stains from leaks and lumps taken out of the plaster work. His quote was reasonable and he worked very quickly to a very high standard. He has transformed some very dingy rooms into bright, fresh spaces.

Stephen was able to commit and deliver a demanding job list. He was able to understand the desired level of finishing required and was dedicated to his craft to achieve this objective.

He was able to maintain and persevere the period of the house by using modern methods to

update the decor.

Truly satisfied and will surely recommend his services

I was recommended Stephen by a close friend of mine, as I heard such good things about him from my friend... he painted her whole house and I absolutely loved it, so I called him to do my kids bedrooms and mine and wow he done an amazing job!! I?m so happy! He?s reliable, professional & really gets the job done! I highly recommend, will definitely be using him again :)

Stephen has just finished painting our lounge and dining room. His work is flawless. He also sanded and varnished our hallway floor for us and we loved it so much we got him to do the rest of the floors too, they look amazing. Stephen is so easy to deal with, super reliable and his work is outstanding. Would highly recommend. Also a lovely guy!

I recently had my grandmother?s property painted by Steven Rogers.

I was thoroughly impressed with his workmanship and his meticulous attention to detail. He is a true professional with over 20 years of experience. I would highly recommend and use him again.

Stephen Rogers completed remedial work on my water damaged kitchen and bathroom walls over a week in October. Despite extensive damage, Stephen was able to fill, sand down, stain block and paint in an efficient and professional manner and supplied all equipment and materials. Stephen offered a very reasonable quote and carried out the work to a high quality. He clearly knows his trade and I wouldn?t hesitate in recommending him to other people. I will look to use him should I need work in the future.

Just want to say that Stephen did an amazing job fixing my kitchen and roof, the neighbours tree had fallen into it thanks to storm eunice and battered pretty much half my house! Stephen fixed the roof, and my kitchen wall, made everything look brand new again.

Thanks so much,

Dale

Stephen has just completed redecorating work in our flat, and we are really pleased with the result. He did a great job which was a mix of touching up some bits and completely repainting whole rooms and it all looks wonderful. He was able to start quite soon after he did the quote and finished it all very quickly too, charging a competitive rate.

Stephen is a great painter. He was punctual, friendly and did a fantastic job repainting my sitting room. He even helped me put everything back in place and left nothing behind. Other painters I have used in the past have left trash all over the place. I would highly recommend Stephen and plan on hiring him again in the future.

    • Exactly what I said, that Corbyn's group of univeristy politics far-left back benchers would have been a disaster during Covid if they had won the election. Here you go:  BBC News - Ex-union boss McCluskey took private jet flights arranged by building firm, report finds https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp3kgg55410o The 2019 result was considered one of the worst in living memory for Labour, not only for big swing of seats away from them but because they lost a large number of the Red-wall seats- generational Labour seats. Why? Because as Alan Johnson put it so succinctly: "Corbyn couldn't lead the working class out of a paper bag"! https://youtu.be/JikhuJjM1VM?si=oHhP6rTq4hqvYyBC
    • Agreed and in the meantime its "joe public" who has to pay through higher prices. We're talking all over the shop from food to insurance and everything in between.  And to add insult to injury they "hurt " their own voters/supporters through the actions they have taken. Sadly it gets to a stage where you start thinking about leaving London and even exiting the UK for good, but where to go????? Sad times now and ahead for at least the next 4yrs, hence why Govt and Local Authorities need to cut spending on all but essential services.  An immediate saving, all managerial and executive salaries cannot exceed and frozen at £50K Do away with the Mayor of London, the GLA and all the hanging on organisations, plus do away with borough mayors and the teams that serve them. All added beauracracy that can be dispensed with and will save £££££'s
    • The minimum wage hikes on top of the NICs increases have also caused vast swathes of unemployment.
    • Exactly - a snap election will make things even worse. Jazzer - say you get a 'new' administration tomorrow, you're still left with the same treasury, the same civil servants, the same OBR, the same think-tanks and advisors (many labour advisors are cross-party, Gauke for eg). The options are the same, no matter who's in power. Labour hasn't even changed the Tories' fiscal rules - the parties are virtually economically aligned these days.  But Reeves made a mistake in trying too hard, too early to make some seismic changes in her first budget as a big 'we're here and we're going to fix this mess, Labour to the rescue' kind of thing . They shone such a big light on the black hole that their only option was to try to fix it overnight. It was a comms clusterfuck.  They'd perhaps have done better sticking to Sunak's quiet, cautious approach, but they knew the gullible public was expecting an 24-hour turnaround miracle.  The NIC hikes are a disaster, I think they'll be reversed soon and enough and they'll keep trying till they find something that sticks.
