Hi

Does anyone know the nursery term dates for Goodrich this September? I rang the office and they said term starts 5 Sept but I'm wondering if that's for reception, rather than the nursery as I'm sure a while ago they said it was mid Sept. Would have thought it would be staggered. I'd rather not keep ringing them so wondered if other parents knew.

Know it's a bit far ahead but planning holidays!

Thanks

P

Hi Polly, it may be staggered. I think it was when my son started there. Don't worry about calling them again or going in to check. It may even be that the finer detail has not been totally decided yet. Pain in the neck if you are working but just one of those things about school - ho hum!

After reading this thread I have just called Goodrich Nursery as I hadn't heard about a place for my son. I spoke to Lyn the Admissions lady who said they sent all their offer letters before Easter but have had quite few parents calling who haven't received their letter.

Give her a call, she's lovely, they will tell you if you have been offered a place and if its for am or pm.

    • Sadly, your experience seems pretty typical to me. Estate agents must surely be a dying breed. Apart from adding your photos to Rightmove, and setting up a few appointments, what do they actually do? We sold our house last year, over £10k in estate agents fees, for appalling service, rude, patronising, as you said zero proactivity, zero feedback, I was constantly chasing. Just avoid any beginning with W, that would be my advice.
    • A friend works for Lambeth cleaning the streets, there is a team and they work round all roads in their area, clearing weeds growing between paving and edges etc, as well as the rubbish people leave. There is so much work that he usually works weekends as well. If you live around the Gypsy Hill area/ West Dul/ Tulse Hill area, you'll very likely have nice clean and tidy pavements.
