flocker spotter
There has been a lot of bee activity in and out of our compost bin and we fear there might be a nest in there. What should we do about it? I am concerned about the potential danger. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23634-bees-nest-in-the-compost-bin/ Share on other sites

Gidget
There was a bee nest/swarm outside Melbourne Grove Surgery the other day, on top of a bin, in a box, with a sign saying that someone was coming to deal with it. Can't imagine how it got there. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23634-bees-nest-in-the-compost-bin/#findComment-547423 Share on other sites

lizbells6
Hi, I am the swarms collecting coordinator for the London Beekeepers Association and can put people in touch with the nearest collector. However, we can only deal with honey bees, which I suspect these are not. If you go to our website, there are good descriptions and illustrations of the different types of bees. If you think you have got honey bees, give me a ring and I will find someone to come round.
