No. El Pibe, I was making a point that a scoreline isn't an indicator of a team's performance.

My analysis on yesterday's game, based on information available at the time, wasn't wrong at all. Even if the game did turn out to be tight I'll be still questioning my analysis.

"My analysis on yesterday's game, based on information available at the time, wasn't wrong at all"

By that token there simply is no such thing as a wrong prediction, considering that "information available at the time" by its very nature excludes the outcome.

There really isn't anyway of squirming out of this.

You made a prediction, it was incorrect.

Have you considered a career in politics?

Tackling is an important part of the game and so is psychology. The opposition respects you more by getting your tackles in early. I'm no Roy Keane but I never quite understood why some people refused to play on the same pitch as me.

Absolutely, afaik, I've not permanently injured any player. Nor have I ever received a yellow and red card. And only once did my manager criticised my tackling because I showed my studs in a tackle.

You right, I never pick for football. Not play football. I pick for other sport. I pick for county sport. Actually pick to play to actual decent level. Not bang on about it, mind, like a cock, like it means something special. And not pick for pissy five-a-side, with pretend manager, joke coach and comedy scorelines.

I suggest you lot get some treatment for your childhood traumas people rather than taking out your anger on me.

Anyway, I'm off to do some shopping.

*waves bye bye*

ETA. Perhaps Dr Sigmund Huguenot, world famous psychologist, can help you lot. Quids recommends him too.

I openly admit I was never much good at football, and never cared. I don't think you need to play the game to understand it though UDT, it's really not all that complicated.

My school was a rugby school though, and I was a regular starter for the first XV, and played at a pretty good level in to my early 20s, until I couldn't be bothered anymore. I don't talk like I know better than anyone else about it though, because people tend to find that sort of thing really irritating.

    • Just had an interior decorating job done by Andy. The final outcome looks lovely and he did some remedial work at the same time to fill in gaps in the ceiling (due to previous electrical work) and to remediate any similar areas to ensure a polished overall look. Would highly recommend him for any similar job, he quoted a very reasonable price for the job as well. Thanks Andy!
    • Well at least there are now functioning bulbs in 2 of the hanging lights in the main passageway to the street. Very luxurious not having to walk through in the dark anymore!
    • So work has still not started in the station square. After years of delays we were told it would begin in summer 2025, then October, then January and now just "soon" / "this year". That means the new square is not going to open this year. Pretty poor that Southwark is unwilling  to communicate any reasons for its continuing delays. Meanwhile for the station itself, Network Rail is moving forward with a minor scheme to reduce the crush but still with no lifts:  https://www.ianvisits.co.uk/articles/peckham-rye-station-to-get-5m-makeover-while-waiting-for-step-free-rebuild-87172/
    • Great, thanks! Great, thanks, never heard of these before, that's useful. That's a very odd photo to use for the teenage girl.
