vasectomy - private clinic recommendations

Hi!

My husband is looking to have a vasectomy and will pay privately to avoid the wait.

Have you/your partner undergone a vasectomy? If so, where did you go and how was the recovery?

Hi there

Tell your hubby to go to his GP (I am assuming you are Dulwich based?) he can get it done on the NHS, and the referral is super quick! My hubbie did this 5 years ago, the clinic is based in Stratford somewhere was a very quick and painless experience.

Ah thanks! I heard the wait was really long this way but possibly worth giving a go. If we can get a GP appointment that is!

My partner had his at Marie Stopes in Brixton, they have an afternoon every couple of weeks where there is only a vacetomny clinic ( so no one else for other procedures on site)it was swift, not too expensive ( this was a couple of years ago and I cant rember how much ) easy to book etc. Recovery was fine, a bit tender for a few hours. It takes about three months for the procedure to work and be 'sperm free' you send in samples untill you get the literal 'all clear'! Top tip he found is medicated body powder! After four kids it was the best decision. Very liberating!

Had this done 2 years ago went to GP East Dulwich Medical on crystal palace road. Was told that the NHS don't do this anymore and they referred me to private clinic in Blackheath. 3 weeks later and all sorted.
