My partner had his at Marie Stopes in Brixton, they have an afternoon every couple of weeks where there is only a vacetomny clinic ( so no one else for other procedures on site)it was swift, not too expensive ( this was a couple of years ago and I cant rember how much ) easy to book etc. Recovery was fine, a bit tender for a few hours. It takes about three months for the procedure to work and be 'sperm free' you send in samples untill you get the literal 'all clear'! Top tip he found is medicated body powder! After four kids it was the best decision. Very liberating!

My son moved to Charter sixth form, he loved it, made a lot of new friends, he took Alevel history and I thought the subject was very well taught, with excellent, approachable teachers. He has since moved on to Camberwell Art College along with some students from Charter. I was generally very impressed with the sixth form. The UCAS preparation was also very good. My younger son decided to stay at his school for sixth form and has since come to regret the decision. Feels now stuck in the same place since he was eleven!

We have recently moved into a flat on Elm grove (not quite East Dulwich) and discovered there are no bins for the block (small block 9 flats)!! The other tenants leave their rubbish in the street and it?s quite a pile up. I?m absolutely amazed it?s like the 70?s! There is no mechanism that I can find on Southwark?s website for arranging a bin for the block, no contact numbers etc. Does anyone have experience of who to contact in Southwark. The landlord has said just do what the other residents do but I?ve no desire to live next to nor add to the rubbish pile up. Cheers

Hi Dr Zoo We met on the path shorty after the incident, I sorry to hear your lovely dog sustained injuries. I walk the same route, same time every day, with my dog and I haven't seen the assailant dog and owner since the incident. If I do Ill let you know. I seem to recall the owner of the dog was talking to his dogs or having a phone conversation and seemed oblivious to anything around him. Is it possible he didn't hear the commotion or thought his dog wasn't involved? Glad your dog is making a good recovery. n

Ive just got to add that we had fantastic pizza at pizza pick up Saturday night and hurrah my fussy/annoying kids who love to pick all the cheese of loved the Marinara,(delicious cheese free pizza) Great wine too, its our new family favorite.

My two eldest kids had smart phones, but they did not take them to school. I think they are too much of a distraction at school and not remotely necessary . I managed to get to school and home safely for my entire secondary school life without a phone and see no reason why my kids can't do the same.In the couple of times they needed to get hold of me the school office has been happy to help.

Almost exact same senario happened to my son and his friends a couple of weeks ago in Dulwich Park,cycling home from school. The perpetrators use slow persistant intimidation, once again they took brand new bike and left old junk they arrived on. Definetly worth making kids aware of the scam. So sorry your son had to learn such a painful lesson.

Police have been excellent, unfortunately this seems to have not been the only incident with this group, the police suggest that anyone else mugged/threatened in the rye reports it, its the best way to insure increased patrols in area and have a chance of catching/stopping them. My kids are 17/14/11/7 they have been going to Peckham Rye all their lives. The 14 year old was slightly behind the others as they left the park, he was pulled aside by the gate opposite Harris girls, held against fence, my 17 year old seeing this went back holding 7 year olds hand, I think he felt like the adult, he had a little girl with him and remonstrated with the boys to leave his brother alone. Biggest of group then punches him on side of head, leaving him with cut and swollen ear. I think he was in shock and then felt vulnerable and feared for his sisters safety. He saw a young child on a scooter coming round corner, figured they would have adults with them and ran shout to them to help, they did thank goodness and boys all ran off back into park. I think for my 17 year old son he felt very vulnerable when attacked holding his sisters hand, worried for her and his other brother as they were heavily outnumbered and the group were violent, aggressive and appeared dressed for the part in hoods and bandanas covering their faces. Plus in was 3 in the afternoon he really did not expect it. They and I really love the park, spend a lot of time there and I really am determined that a bunch of di@kheads are not going to change that so please keep and eye out and let police park wardens know of any incidents. and once again to the adults that came to their rescue thank you.

Fellow park users,my children were in Peckham rye park today at the skate park at roughly 3pm, they left and were followed by a group of 6-8 kids , a mixture of ethnicities, mainly on bikes, they corned one son by the gate and demanded phone money etc. My eldest was with my 7 year old he went back to other son and was punched in the head, 7 and 11 year old tried to intervene and were threatened, oldest son then ran and found passing adults who managed to scare them off. My 7 year old girl is traumatised and I'm naturally furious and worried as to the safety of children at Peckham Rye. Please warn your own children, and if you were the adults that intervened thank you. I have raised this with the police.

My 13 year old son has been having treatment for the past 12 months, braces etc, with DOC as a NHS patient and I have to say our experience there has been great. He's needed an emergency appointment twice due to brace unhooking, always easy to sort. Never had any pressure to have private treatment.

I thought Id add my experience for all those going into the firestorm of secondary choices. My eldest (now year 11) received his 5th choice school (HBAED) in 2009, we waited on lists, but to no avail so he started in September and he loved it, it was very much the right space for him. Two years later son number two is in year six and we don't think twice about sending him to join his brother. September all things start well, but come the end of the autumn term he is not happy, he can't settle, there are a few boys giving him grief and despite the schools best efforts things hit downward spiral and he is desperate to leave. We find ourselves applying in year to schools as he was not on a waiting list anywhere. In year application is interesting as the school can ask for things they don't normally in admissions such as school reports etc. A week after handing in his application, he sits a banding test and two days later is offered a place at Kingsdale. It has been the perfect place for him and he is very happy there. This year son number three wants to follow his brother to Kingsdale and I'm happy for him to do so. Each child is different, no school is a perfect fit for all and its not set in stone, they can move and there is a surprising amount of movement well into year 8.
