Evening,

Can any local experts advise on the best survey option for us, we are buying a 30s house with not much alteration or renovation done apart from a single storey side extension. As well as the usual wiring / plumbing and structure concerns we are worried about a v large tree in the back garden.

Will a full buildings survey cover this, or are we better off going for a cheaper survey and getting a tree specialist?

Not really sure if the buildings survey is worth the extra cash?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

    • Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! We're really glad to hear you were happy with the underfloor heating work and that Sam took great care of everything. I’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to him. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience! — The Trade Hub Team
    • the real question is what to do about it - who to hold accountable and who is actually willing to engage, or will it escalate to residents taking legal action, as with Brockwell Park last year? it could be worth connecting with their group, although I think they are Lambeth, joint forces may be more powerful.
    • I'm sorry to hear this - there is too much of this around. Your son did the right thing to let go of his possessions - I hope he's not too shaken up and certainly not taking it personally, or thinking he should have done something vigilante style like fighting back. We live very close by and are usually out in the evenings with the dogs - hardly ever see anyone so will take extra care from now on.
