Coffee Morning and Open Day - Saturday 12th Oct - Dulwich Grove URC

Recommended Posts

This year Dulwich Grove United Reformed Church is celebrating the 140th Anniversary of foundation and dedication. Since 10 October 1879 people have met for worship, and buildings used to serve the community on the corner of East Dulwich Grove and Melbourne Grove.

To mark this special occasion, we will be holding a coffee morning this coming Saturday 12th October between 11am and 2pm in our Sanctuary. Alongside the coffee morning is an exhibition detailing the life of the church and its development over the last 140 years.

On Sunday 13th October, we will have a festival service at 11am with brass ensemble and guest preacher The Revd Nigel Uden, Moderator of URC General Assembly.

All are welcome to these events. We hope you can join us as we celebrate.

    • Who you vote for locally directly can affect the Government - so it's wise to understand what that part would do if they had a majority. The local candidate with the most votes becomes the MP. The party with most MPs becomes the government.
    • Hello..i am looking to buy a lost top for my Chilly  SERIES 2 WHALE BLUE  500 ml reuseable bottle. annoyingly, the company have discontinued it and keep no spare parts!  anyone out there with a spare, or no longer using their bottle.. it was a present and wanted to use it!     i am assuming you can reply on here, but to avoid side-stepping any comms rules, i wont put my contact details on here, but may re-post with them showing if nothing happens!   i am local se21, so can collect..
    • I am struggling to understand how Green policies translate to local issues? The Southwark Greens leaflet I received reads like a general wish list but is not locally specific. I know the same can be said of other political parties. What specifically are Greens plans for housing, protecting local parks, council tax, transport and roads/ pavement upkeep, CPZ/LTNs? On the national stage, I'm interested in the detail of how they would reverse privatisation and take water companies back into public ownership. I am not disputing the desirability of this, but in reality how will they do it?
    • Politician's moving from one party to another, especially when local is worth discussing. You have to wonder what they are driven by, and particularly in this instance, as their new party is moving in strange directions.
