  1. All are welcome to join with us in our worship over the Christmas season. Full details in the PDF attached, but snippets from our schedule as follows: Sunday 22nd December ? Advent IV 11am ? Festival of Lessons and Carols Tuesday 24th December ? Christmas Eve 11pm ? Holy Communion Wednesday 25th December ? Christmas Day 10.30am ? Family Service with Carols Also our weekly lunch club will be holding its annual Christmas lunch on Wednesday 18th December from 12.30pm. Full three-course meal. Tickets ?7. The whole community at Dulwich Grove United Reformed Church wishes you all a very merry and blessed Christmas.
  2. This year Dulwich Grove United Reformed Church is celebrating the 140th Anniversary of foundation and dedication. Since 10 October 1879 people have met for worship, and buildings used to serve the community on the corner of East Dulwich Grove and Melbourne Grove. To mark this special occasion, we will be holding a coffee morning this coming Saturday 12th October between 11am and 2pm in our Sanctuary. Alongside the coffee morning is an exhibition detailing the life of the church and its development over the last 140 years. On Sunday 13th October, we will have a festival service at 11am with brass ensemble and guest preacher The Revd Nigel Uden, Moderator of URC General Assembly. All are welcome to these events. We hope you can join us as we celebrate.
  3. Hello all, Dulwich Grove URC will be holding a jumble sale this coming Saturday 10th September 11am-1pm. Many new and nearly new items to get your hands on. Entry 50p. Refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there.
  4. On Saturday 1st November we will be holding a jumble sale from 11am-1pm. There will be plenty of new/nearly new items for you to get your hands on! Admission 50p. Tea/coffee and light refreshments served. Proceeds from the sale will go towards the refurbishment of our premises; leftover jumble will be given to charity. Hope to see you there! This October Dulwich Grove United Reformed Church will be marking its 135th anniversary and to celebrate these many years of worship at witness, we will be holding a special anniversary concert on Saturday 11th October, 7.30pm. The music of Faure, Bizet, Rachmaninoff, Hahn, Gounod, Strauss amongst others will be performed by mezzo-soprano Louisa Barry with Merel van der Knoop accompanying on piano. Tickets are ?10 for adults, ?5 for children. Proceeds from this concert will go towards the ongoing work of the church particularly for the fund established for the redevelopment and refurbishment of our premises. A bit about Louisa: In 2011, she performed as Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas) with Winterbourne Opera, Carmen (Carmen) in concert with Warriner Choral Society, Zita (Gianni Schicchi) with Trinity College of Music, and Bertha (The Barber of Seville (or Salisbury!)) with OperaUpCose. In opera scenes, she has performed as Marcellina & Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Lazuli (L?Etoile), Doroth?e (Cendrillon), Minsk Woman (Flight), Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Bianca (The Rape of Lucretia), Angelina (Cenerentola), Idamante (Idomeneo), Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito), Diana (La Calisto), Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), and Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte). Louisa is a regular recitalist and has sung as mezzo soprano soloist in Vivaldi?s Gloria and Magnificat, Pergolesi?s Stabat Mater, and Bach?s Christmas Oratorio. She has recorded CDs and film as a solo singer and lyricist. We hope that you might be able to join us as we celebrate another year added to the life of this church.
