Lidl and other budget shops suffer from floor space and the time taken to get served. Did Peckham last Sunday afternoon and gave up the will after half an hour.

Where is the best one? Sydenham suffers as it is a small shop, Peckham too damn busy, Catford an alternative, OKR just feels too far and I don't see myself going to Camberwell. Now one in ED, particularly as the bakery is superior to any of the up your backside middle class supermarkets.

I spotted the Lidl notice at Camberwell over a year ago but then the gym appeared and didn't think it would open due to car park space and the gym taking over.

Then again, Southwark News had an article this week about how Lidl are wanting to open their stores in Southwark.

East Dulwich, Dulwich, Herne Hill, Walworth were on the list.

I have to agree on Beckenham. Only been once but a very pleasant experience, friendly staff, no rude or pushy customers, and queues which are relatively short.

I love Lidl. They sell so many cheese and hams you can get in a lot of traditional British supermarkets.

Louisa.

Willow in North Cross Road now sell art materials, and they will order anything in for you.

They will also give you a card entitling you to 10% off any art stuff you buy :)

There are a lot of useful shops in Camberwell ruffle, so not sure what you mean?

The Lidl had their signs up today ready to go.

The 42 bus stops right outside.

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you.
