Maths Learning Difficulties/Dyscalculia

Recommended Posts

Does your child have difficulties in mathematics that are not in line with their underlying ability? Have they historically found maths tricky? If so, they may have a Maths Learning Difficulty (MLD), Dyscalculia or Dyslexia (which can affect maths achievement).

I am currently doing a masters in Dyscalculia. I have been a primary school teacher since 2001, a specialist maths teacher for 10 years and have advanced teacher status in Dyscalculia. I currently tutor pupils up to KS3, assess pupils for Dyscalculia and provide training and support within Primary School settings.

If you are interested in having your child assessed for Dyscalculia/MLD or have your child tutored, please email me on [email protected], where we can further discuss your child's strengths and weakness and ways forward.

    • I'm thinking of going to India at Christmas and it's been 18 years since I last visited. So long ago, I can hardly remember where I went (I was there for 8 weeks...). Has anyone been to the South recently? I'm thinking Kerala, as we fancy some beach action.
    • If it's not bolted down it gets stolen, terrible. Some people have no respect for others property.  Hope you reported it to the Police and got a crime reference number, what did they say?
    • Try pavement, this is London, not the US. The Mayor increased his proportion of council tax in 2025/26 to pay for "more" haha PC's but my understanding is they were cut not increased. A rouse by the Mayor to take more and give nothing in return.  Troubling and far too common here.  Just be careful where you get it out
