Going rate for teenage Bbs?

Don't want to underpay or indeed overpay - can anyone tell me a reasonable rate? The children would be in bed asleep and v seldom wake so it is just a question of watching tv or reading a book. Many thanks

I think it's about ?5/6 hour. I pay ?6 and the couple of babysitters that I use say they are (and seem) happy with that.

Teenage daughter charges ?6 per hour (I think). Increased her rates once she hit 16, cos she's "more mature" ;)

Sw, I recall some blush worthy things I did at the same age - mortifying to recall what a fool I was. This generation seems much more sensible thank goodness.

This is funny. I met my bbs tonight to talk about it. I said the forum said 6 quid, she said she would be happy with 5. Hilariously, we cldnt agree so settled on 5.5 with both of us arguing the wrong way round.

At least you offered. Just to say that babysitting isn't just a question of reading a book or watching TV. It's a responsible job.

Can anyone recommend a good babysitter...happy with ?6 hour...for South Dulwich area (we live close to Sydenham Hill train station).
