One of the phlebotomists is on holiday and there is just one guy with a student and he looks exhausted. There were about 60 people there and as one person went in I asked how long she had waited and she said 2 hours but so many more people had come since. So approx 2.5 hours. And this is at a normally quiet time, ie. NOT first thing in the morning. I have registered a complaint with the Patient and Liaison Office and they said this had been going on all week. The poor guy looked tired and it is not fair on him!

Anyway, so just letting you know if you have to go this week. Don't!

I went with my Mum and Dad to Dulwich Hospital for their blood tests recently. Agree with PeckhamRose that it's not acceptable to be kept waiting in a small, dinghy corridor for nearly 3 hours.

Maxxi's info was useful but outside of those hours then Dulwich Hospital is the only choice for routine blood tests.

Thanks Pugwash. At least they have a coffee shop nearby. In Dulwich it's a dingy corridor when the big room is full. Did you complain to PALS (based in the section of the hospital next to the Golden Jubilee Wing) about it? If everyone complained they would have to do something. (One would hope!)

    • Maybe they don't have space for them all in one collection?
    • Didn’t realize we needed to book collection and looks like others in street didn’t either. But I’d have thought the council could have just taken them when they come for the pre-booked instead of making several journeys.
    • Well done and thank you to you kind people for replying on here and caring about animals in distress or needing help.... im a massive fan of animals and I always try if safe to pick any dead animals up from the road after they have been run over and I bag them up and notify the council to collect them.. animals need and deserve our compassion and you people certainly have that.. hope all the foxes you have mentioned get the help they need.
    • Tawny owls are hooting in Dawsons Heights very near me. But very elusive birds. Sadly now on the amber list.
