Wasn't meant to be 'fascistic' at all buddug.

Its a local forum, not too many house rules to adhere to really and its run by a small amount of volunteers so I think its polite if regular/frequent posters set a good example and kept conversational topics like the Archers to the Lounge where there is a place for them. In fact, there was a recent thread about the Archers in the Lounge and yes, its good to hear about fellow Archers fans in ED.

But spare a thought for the people who run the forum and keep it tidy and a useful resource seeing that useful local info does not get caught up in whatever subject any one of the zillions of users randomly choose to start a thread about wherever they damn well please...thats all.

    • I definitely have some grass cuttings, and various bits of plant cuttings etc, which has been piling up in my garden. I’ve been meaning to bag it up, but don’t have much time on account of two small children.  if that helps?
    • Walking around Belgravia and Knightsbridge stopping to look at window displays in Harvey Nics and Harrods. Tea at The Ritz and Burlington Arcade. Theatre without doubt - concert at Royal Albert Hall. Must go to Fortnum and Mason and Foyles Bookshop. London is magical at Christmas Time whoever and whatever one does. Personally, avoid Winter whatever it's called in Hyde Park - usually near Hyde Park Corner - got it Winter Wonderland. Expensive, tacky. See what’s on at Sachi Gallery in Sloane Square - sounds really crazy but a walk thru any of the parks and even a row on the Sepentine plus visit that gallery.
    • Eynella road is nowhere near the Herne Hill Oxfam shop. Do you mean Stradella?
    • Both great ideas. I went round that house in the early eighties (I think it was, may have been later),  but I think the tour is differently done now (and a lot more expensive!)
