boyohboy
I wonder if the Family Room Forums should be divided into Primary School age and Secondary? It would save a lot of trawling through buggy and baby bits to find things relevant to older children or am I just lazy? dulwichgirl2
Haha. I read that with concern. I thought you meant posters! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24410-should-the-family-room-forums-be-divided-by-age/#findComment-559066 Share on other sites
EDmummy
I'm with you! I've asked before but was told that they wouldn't do it (sorry paraphrasing, no offence to Admin!). Ruth_Baldock
Wasn't there some kind of talk about this a while ago? I think the general consensus was that posters liked to see posts directed at parents of older children (a sort of 'what the future may hold' aspect) and vice versa.Although I may have imagined that entirely... nunheadmum
I think that was the jist of the discussion, Ruth. I think that would be my thinking anyway - sometimes discussions outwith the direct age group of my kids can be of interest. Also, where would you draw the line for any split? Once your kids are at school, you could say that a lot of the baby stuff is of lesser interest. A few years into primary, you may be out of touch with what your school is really like for those starting to look at schools etc, etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24410-should-the-family-room-forums-be-divided-by-age/#findComment-559085 Share on other sites
Family Room Moderator
I can see where perhaps this would be beneficial, but it's just not going to happen. From an administrative point of view a lot of time is already spent moving things to the right place (across the whole forum, as well as in the family areas) it would add another level to what is already quite a frustrating task.
