DawnSE22
I?ve got some trees (2ft whips) courtesy of The Conservation Volunteers to make SE22 greener, fight the climate crisis and to help wildlife. If you would like some please let me know. You can either collect from Crystal Palace Rd or if you are local and not a gardener I am happy to plant them for you in your garden. All the trees (Rowan, Bird Cherry, Hazel, Hawthorn and Crab Apple) are suitable for small gardens. maxijazz
Would any of these be suitable for a large pot on a terrace? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/244418-free-native-trees/#findComment-1390484 Share on other sites
DawnSE22
It?s always better to plant in the ground, but you could plant hazel in a pot if it is big enough and use John Innes no 3 as a planting medium as this is better for trees/shrubs. How big is the pot that you had in mind? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/244418-free-native-trees/#findComment-1390521 Share on other sites
lovinglondon
How kind! We would love one of these. If you have hazel left, that would be super as we're also interested in planting in a pot. Thank you! Molly Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/244418-free-native-trees/#findComment-1390525 Share on other sites
