SteveT
I remember the clairol advert the one with the made up eyes, clicking like a camera shutter, after each click there was a differently decorated eye.It seemed so simple and cheaply made, yet attractive and memorable. Anyone else have a favourite ad? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2450-my-favourite-advert/ Share on other sites

citizenED
"Daddy or chips" was a classic: nice one Mighty. One of my favourite recent ones is that one with a mum and teenage daughter, where the daughter is extolling the virtues of her friend's mum, including the fact that she eats a certain breakfast cereal, the conversation evolving just as the mum in the ad is helping herself to said cereal. For sharpness of script, timing and delivery, it is hard to beat. Still, the fact that i know not what cereal it promotes is testimony either to the ineffectiveness of ads or the paltry nature of my memory.I like this too: Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2450-my-favourite-advert/#findComment-72125 Share on other sites

SeanMacGabhann
As an early Bauhaus fan I used to love this ad but it also serves as a useful reminder that adverts are fantasy at best and lies at worst Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2450-my-favourite-advert/#findComment-72157 Share on other sites
*Bob*
I think this is just about as good as television advertising gets. The fact that the product itself ought to have been unsellable is the cherry on the cake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SAbJjktk7E Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2450-my-favourite-advert/#findComment-72161 Share on other sites
LizzygotDizzy
Although, have to say I do love the one currently doing the rounds with the gorilla playing the drums to Phil Collins' "in the air tonight" was just so random and did nothing for cadburys chocolate, (if that was the product they were advertising!) =] Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2450-my-favourite-advert/#findComment-72174 Share on other sites
