Could the lady who owns the car Reg No AU17 ONF - Grey Toyota Yaris please come forward and message me as her car was broken into during the early hours of this morning outside my house and I have captured the incident on CCTV. It seems there have been a few incidents today in the neighbouring streets of cars being broken into.

I have also reported it to the police. I will be happy to give her the footage.

Hi

Someone called Benjamin Lim posted this morning on Nextdoor to say their car was ransacked on Shawbury Road. Might be worth getting in touch as might be the same perpetrator?

If not, definitely contact the police with your cctv.

I am guessing it is the same guy whose doing it as all the break ins seem to be in a similar style.I have been in touch with the police and will give them the footage when they come to visit me.

Unfortunately the lady moved her car in the afternoon from where it was broken into and I havent seen it since so I cant leave a message on her window to contact me.

yes my car was broken into, christams eve/Christmas morning i suspect. They left quite a mess but we did not leave anything in the car so left empty handed. This was on Underhill Road.

Maybe we did not lock it but i think the car auto locks anyway.

    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
    • Truly horrific. Being passive or fighting back is what many of us think about by violent theft.
    • What ridiculous waste of money
    • Lots of good primary schools within reach of there. Fairlawn, Goodrich, Ivydale and Horiman. Secondary schools you will definitely get into the Harris Academies or Sydenham Girls or Forest Hill Boys, you might just be on the boundary for the East Dulwich or North Dulwich Charter but it changes every year.
