You could argue about the pros and cons of the opening ceremony until the cows come home. Overall it was very enjoyable spectacle. There's no doubt though that as an exercise in politcal correctness it ticked all the boxes.

Lol....is anyone really suprised. I loved the opening ceremony, thought it clever and complex in some respects but could have predictied the right wing backlash. I blame Dizee Rascal personally............:D

Well, Danny Boyle is a self-proclaimed lefty, so I imagine the Mail had an article half-drafted weeks ago. You can see his politics in the Ceremony a bit, but it was hardly a night of Socialism 101, was it?

I read the original article and couldn't believe that a "newspaper" in 2012 was spouting such undisguised rasism. The article has now been removed from the Daily Mail website and unfortunately this poisonous little shit Rick Dewsbury can't continue to be exposed for the vile racist that he is.
