We're thinking about getting a scooter for our toddler who was 2 in April. See the 3 wheeled ones are better for younger kids and the ollie (??) brand is most popular. Is it worth getting one now? He seems a bit interested and had a play on one very briefly. Also is there a recommended place to buy one? Not sure I even have the name ollie scooter right as not much coming up on google (excuse naivity!) Any scooter tips much appreciated please! Thank you

We got our daughter a mini micro scooter for her 2nd birthday in June - she loves it, has a little difficulty in steering (veers off to the right) but is beginning to get there. They say from age 3 but see so many younger children with them and our daughter is small for her age but she is fine on it. We got ours in jo jo maman babe on lordship lane, same price as John Lewis and Cheaper than buying direct from micro scooter who charge delivery.
Mini micro are brilliant, and 2 and a bit probably the perfect age for most kids. Our scooter has been going strong for 6+ years between the 2 kids. Customer service is also very good - they supply spares at a reasonable price with very clear instructions how to fit (we've replaced a wheel bearing and a spring in the base of the handle)
Hiya, I just bought a second hand mini micro for my LO. He is only 18months but has been longing for them a while (lots of sly attempts to play with other kids' scooters at the playground). He cannot really use it yet, a couple of tries with one foot but mainly he just pushes it along. But it keeps him very happy and entertained for long stretches of time. I justified the early purchase with the fact that one was going cheap and that it will (hopefully) last for years to come...

    • I hadn't looked at the actual posts on Instagram. That's sad, then. The shop opening hours are still shown at the top of the page. I  guess changing them wasn't uppermost in her mind under the circumstances.
    • I want to recommend the kitchen fitters Top Marx kitchens. They were excellent from the communication, the planning and the fitting. John did a fantastic job of of fitting and worked around and solved many of the issues we had with Ikea who we purchased from. John gave lots of helpful advice and support. We would definitely use them again for any kitchen work. I have added before and after photos.
