We have a spreadsheet, with a list of volunteers {{covering all streets within Goose Green}} you can view via a link in our whatsapp group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/LApspsBjIAn5LOJifuRLWO. If you are elderly, vulnerable, self-isolating & in need of support, you can edit the spreadsheet to add your name, details & how we may be able to help you in the "individuals" section.

"What does this mean exactly?"

he reads these things on his facebook groups and thinks they are "a truth"

It would be funny if it wasn't people like him getting us into further trouble - imagine looking at the current virus situation and thinking proceeding with brexit was a good idea

Do we want or have time to negitiate any deals? No

Will we need as much cash as possible to deal with this outbreak? Yes

IS that best achieved by maintining trading with our closes and largest partner? Yes?

WIll that penetrate minds of DF and co? No

And thats ignoring the whole fallacy in his post about EU sovereign nations being able to control their borders

Or how leaving the EU helps UK deal with this siutuation in any way

"a good time" - sheesh

I do not use Facebook. I do not have a Facebook account so the rest of your Post was irrelevant as most if not all of your very own posts are.

Goodbye

The number of people spitting on the streets of ED has always disgusted me, mostly those in their late teens guilty of it. To see it still happening and within a few feet or less of others both on LL and the side roads around Goose Green in the current crisis is just unbelievable.

In case it had escaped your notice, supermarkets deliver to your door :))

In any case, it has now been said that complete self isolation is not in fact what is being proposed.

Yes I had a delivery a few days back.

There weren't all that many slots available but I had no trouble getting one with a delivery between 9 and 10 pm.

All pubs clubs cafes restaurants theatres etc are to close down from tonight in uk.

No social contacts are allowed in uk from tonight, by law ! #coronavirus #coronavirusoutbreak

From Midnight tonight. ??

Conflicting news from the BBC now saying pubs NOT Forced to close but people should avoid.

Twitter Cecilia Bartholomew

From now on you leave your homes at your own peril-

If you do not have govt permission to be outdoors you must stay in your houses.

The govt may arrest and detain you if you disobey these new laws! #coronavirus #coronavirusoutbreak

Is this for real.. ??

It must depend on the area and provider, this morning I managed to book Ocado for 10 days time, I had to wait in a virtual queue for over half an hour just to get on the site, then later there were problems getting the payment to clear...

Just watched the downing Street press conference....the govt is 'recommending' people don't got to clubs, pubs, theatres etc.....they are not forcing shutdown.

Although this advice will no doubt have the effect of forcing closure of many venues....

This is the quote - I'll check how many drunk students are out tonight (from my balcony) :)

"Now is the time for everyone to stop non-essential contact with others and to stop all unnecessary travel. We need people to start working from home where they possibly can. And you should avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues."

I?ve asked before without an answer, but I?ll ask again:

Why don?t you use the internet to establish facts rather than peddle BS?

Looks like a tough period coming up for local pubs and restaurants (and their employees). I'm assuming that those local restaurants which source larger portion of turnover through delivery services like ubereats and deliveroo (as opposed to relying on in-house diners) will be the ones that are most likely to remain open....

Guessing that's probably going to be pizza places, curry joints and Chinese restaurant?....but that's based on nothing more that my own speculation!

    • Thanks all, our hope was (despite the diminishing estate) he would get on with it.  Progress is glacial, it's been two years since probate was granted, that's two cold and damp winters with no heating, and not surprisingly a pipe burst. He's blames the issues on the estate agent, who separately had a dispute with him, he had a wobbly when one of the beneficiaries spoke to the estate agent.  Separately he said it was the family's fault for letting the property get into a poor condition.  It was dated, but certainly not in poor condition. There are two five star reviews on Google, and five one star: ** WARNING** This solicitor firm has to be one of the worst I have encountered. The solicitor is prehistoric in his practices and will carry out work at his own snails pace, the fax machine he uses gets turned off at 2 pm and its near impossible to get him on the phone. STAY AWAY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, check the solicitors ombudsman, this firm has previous bad practice recorded.   Disgusting under no circumstances use this solicitor. For over 10 years he has not carried out the terms of a Will he has not re-invested money but has retained it.  He writes letters which are pure "Flannel" excuses for doing nothing.  You have been warned   shocking experience, delayed the whole process, told other side solicitors to not contact him as he feels pressured etc. never use.   Not fit for 21st century. No website, no email address, no electronic transfer. Very slow, very little communication.   Was not a pleasant experience dealing with this firm
