Timber Sash Windows Recommendations?

HI Everyone,

We're a couple of first time renovators who have just moved to the east Dulwich area! we're restoring a lovely 3 bed victorian mid terraced house that is in dire need of some love.

As part of the renovation works we're thinking of replacing the tired old stained upvc windows with the original timber sash windows. We've had a few quotes already from bespoke, sjb, london sash window and wandsworth sash windows and whilst they were all very friendly their asking prices were just extortionate!

We wanted to know if anyone on the forum come across a company that does quality timber sashes at more affordable prices?

Went through a similar process ourselves a few years back but didn't find the "affordable" solution. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it exists which is why upvc is so common place in these old properties. We were just overhauling existing sash windows that needed some TLC, so bit the bullet and went with Steve at http://www.sundialps.co.uk/ who was extremely helpful and the team did a great job.
