Summer 2020 Nanny required for cricket matches (Weekends only)

9 weekends from Saturday 20th June until Sunday 16 August 2020

Can start earlier on 6th June if available.

Need a full driving licence and own car.

Help taking either of our two sons to Surrey County or London Schools cricket matches during the summer holidays and collection from Saturday school match in June if you are available from then.

The general requirement is every Saturday and Sunday from 20th June until 16th August.

Collection time will vary on a Sunday morning depending on cricket match location but will need to be available from 9am. Generally collection from Dulwich will be anytime between 9am and 12pm. We will know the weekend plans one or two weeks in advance once player selections are made.

On Sundays - Collect the boy (one of our sons) from Dulwich, drive them to the cricket game (these can be all over London North or South - petrol money will be given), stay at the game with the boy (very little interaction needed - maybe making sure they eat and drink during the day, suncream), take a good book or watch the game and we will provide a comfy camping chair, drive them home after the game. Most games finish about 6pm and home between 7pm and 8pm depending on location. It?s a long day but a nice relaxing one in good weather. You will need a book, packed lunch for yourself and a flask of tea!

The boys are aged 12 and 15 so very independent. It?s just a requirement that a parent or carer attends the games. Whilst the nanny does one son, we (mum/dad) will do the other son and one at home with daughter. There might be some waiting at home Sunday evening to make sure we all back together.

Saturdays will vary and less hours. Would most probably be a more local drop-off and collection of the 15 year old in South London - often no need to stay for the game - drop off and collect later.

Salary is negotiable - we would pay ?75 for Saturday and ?75 for Sunday every week plus ?20 petrol money. But often there might be less work on Saturday and a couple more hours on a Sunday. Sunday is the big long day and we need you to keep it free every Sunday. We need a full commitment for every Sunday in the summer holidays until 16th August.

We live in Dulwich Village - please contact me if interested.

I think you are right. It?s not for me to set the salary level but definitely the right person who is interested.

I was trying to do a guaranteed weekly amount on both days even though there might not be much on a Saturday or rain cancels play etc.

I will adjust the post and re-send.

    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
