I got this email from Greenpeace:

Greenpeace activists have shut down more than 95 Barclays branches all over the country - and 5 of them are currently hosting pop-up exhibitions showing the effects of the climate emergency.

They're there to demand that Barclays stop bankrolling climate breakdown and start funding a better future for the planet and its people. Banks are as guilty for the destruction of our climate as the fossil fuel companies they fund - we can't let them get away with it anymore.

Can you help drive this urgent message to Jes Staley, Barclays' CEO? Barclays are the worst bank in Europe for funding the climate crisis - they finance fossil fuel companies with billions of pounds a year. We need to be loud and clear in telling them that this just isn't acceptable.

    • When she was our MP before the boundaries changed, she was always really helpful and quick to reply to emails, so I'm very surprised to hear this. Have you tried other sources of help eg Citizens Advice Bureau or whatever union you were in when you were working (assuming you were in one)?

    • Another positive recommendation for Jan and co from Silver Fern We had removed trees that were uprooting the brick pavement. Jan and co successfully removed the roots under the brick pavement and levelled the driveway off using the original bricks. Work done to a high standard and no mess no fuss with the work. Quote was excellent value and work done in under 2 days. Neighbours have booked him for some other work. Really nice guy and friendly workers throughout. Toilet and tea breaks provided by the residents here. Thanks Jan and co.
