Hello everyone

I am taking my daughter abroad for the first time in about 3 weeks and I am getting her a passport (yes, I've left it a bit late!). I need to get her a photo done but wondered if anyone had any advice on a)where to go in ED and b)any tips on how to get her to sit still when I take her.

Huge thanks in advance xx

I second Shot by the Sherriff, we had our daughters passport photo done very early and they were great with her! We are American and they took extra time to make sure the photo size and specifications were accurate for our passport. We have had great experiences with their photography ever since as well!
Well I don't know if you've time for this but I got my baby's photo done by putting her in her cot with a cream bed sheet and taking a photo looking down at her. I'm very pleased with it and I think it's better than a lot of other babies' photos I've seen. I got it printed at photobox.co.uk . They have a passport photos template. Even with postage it works out cheaper than other places (and you can get some general photos printed cheaply at the same time with the same postage) and you can be sure to get a good passport photo. They also do next day delivery. Obviously you need to make sure you follow the guidelines for how the passport shots should be framed etc (these are also provided by photobox if you can't find online).

shot by the sheriff charge ?15 and both times I asked if I could come in for a baby passport photo pic they said I would have to wait several days for an appointment as they are v busy

the place next to Soup Dragaon (or where soup dragon used to be!) charges ?6 for the same service and do it there an then while you wait, I'd try there first!

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
