Sofa re-upholstering

Can anyone recommend someone to re-upholster a two seater sofa. It also needs two new cushions for the back. I have had a quote but it is the same price as buying a new sofa!

I just dropped some things off to a place in Melbourne Grove to be repaired so you may want to try there. I can't remember the name of the store but they were helpful, friendly and are turning around the work quickly.

Out of your area I know but there's a place in Brockley and one in Sydenham at the Bell Green end. Sorry I don't have more details-just seen them as I was driving past.

You could try Sally Nencini. She is local and has a website showing some of her work which I think is lovely.

Unfortunately reupholstery is very time consuming to do properly so as you say, it may just be cheaper to buy a new one.

Do you have the fabric & if so what is it

What style of sofa are you trying to re-cover

Are there any details, like self piped or buttoned

Is the sofa framed

I have a sofa that just needs repair to the piping on one arm, which our 5 kittens have damaged. (Kittens have all been successfully homed now.) Can anyone do this service in our home? I'm not hauling a sofa around just to have one arm repaired!

Hi nette, it's a two sweater sofa, I don't have the material but I could get it. No piping and i am trying to attach a picture but can't .... It's a standard one that goes down to carpet level, it's 170 cm wide.

You could just have a loose cover made if the springs and padding are ok.
