Made to measure interior doors

Hi all

Looking for some advice if anyone can help. We need to replace our kitchen door but it seems to be an usual measurement. Does anyone have advice on the best way to go around getting one to fit? Custom doors seem quite expensive. We?re wondering if we could buy a slightly larger one and get someone to cut it to shape?

I know nothing about them, I just googled for the information.

Cutting a tad off both the top and bottom of a 762mm x 1981mm could be the way to go, ensuring you have enough solid material remaining on a hollow core door.

Trimming down doors is standard practice, any carpenter can do it. Couple of hours.

Obviously any trimmed edges will need finishing (paint/varnish).
