I live on Gowlett road and for the past few days, someone within earshot of my room has been playing lots of 1930s-50s jazz: Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and right now, some soft cocktail bar sax 'n' piano. If this is you, I just want to say thank you and please keep it up! I've genuinely enjoyed it and it's far less intrusive than the constant lawn mower/leafblower/commercial dance music sounds I get from some of the other neighbors (no offence to those into those things, but every day? Really?). It makes me feel like I'm a character in a black and white film (I dress in vintage clothes and love pre-code cinema, so this is right up my ally). Also, maybe it's time for someone to set up a vintage jazz event locally once we're all allowed to roam freely again?

Nice one. Whilst I berate others for the amount of whinging, why you need a petrol mower/strimmer in this area defeats me. And the soft late 70s early 80s stuff coming from the house above is pretty dire, every so often there is one you want to dance to.


Hopefully others have some positive stories like this.

      Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!

      Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped?       A slightly delayed review but another one to echo Niko's praises. I had an issue with a cistern that needed replacing and Niko was attentive and did a great job. He was very diligent, explained what he was doing and fixed issues from a previous plumber's work. I will definitely ask for his help again if I have any issues in the future.
