Time for a new area on the forum?

The games are fun and everything but some pretty good discussions get lost

Having looked again, I have to agree on the hangman front. No offence meant Mogs, but not sure it works so well as a game on a forum like this.

I'm happy everyone's enjoying themselves, but it just means non word-game or toptenlist related threads plummet out of sight in no time.

Plus I think my 'mark all threads as red' link is actually turning a light blue as it wears out with use.

Top ten new rooms I would like to see on the forum

1 family ties (as per polly's brioche dans la four thread)

3 the cominterns (lounging for class war)

4 the drawing room (serious discussions with greater moderation)

5 the play room (word games and topten lists)

It does read as grumpy old man doesn't it? I don't mean it to be - I enjoy it as much as the next man/woman

But as Piers says, the sheer volume of contributions mean some good non-game stuff gets lost along the way

It's not just Hangman - there are several threads now which encourage continuous one-liner stuff and as I say I'm not against them but maybe a bit of re-ordering is due?

Would it not be possible to have an area for the Forum nights out - curry club, drinks etc - as these tend to get lost amongst the other threads because people really only have to read them?

I agree with Georgia about these threads getting lost, but I think it could easily be combined with the whats on section, if it was made clear in the title.
