We?ve just come across a young black and white cat on Lordship Lane, outside The Plough homecraft shops near to the Library.

It looks injured and unkept. We tried to catch it but it ran off.

Not sure if missing but looks like it needs vets attention.

Does anyone recognise it or know if it has an owner?

So sorry to say but this looks like the cat that two lovely passers by had just found dead in the middle of the road by the lights of lordship lane overhill road. Roughly 2230-2300hrs.

He fits the description and looks just like the cat in pictures posted above

He is an unnetered Male cat, has a lot of old scab like wounds on his face and under his neck which almost feels like a puncher wound. He has a bald scabby patch at base of his tail and has a few matts. We will take him to the vets in the morning to see if he is micro-chipped

Very very sad :(

It?s so heart breaking..he looks like he had been through the wars! If only I had stayed outside for a bit longer I may of stopped it from happening as I was outside just where he was found :( Thank you so much and for trying to catch him. We will be taking him to medivet this morning x poor little thing RIP x

He really had. Bless him, so sad.

One minute he was hiding under a parked car, and initially very friendly. My partner went to get a cardboard box, but then he just disappeared.

Am assuming he wasn't micro chipped. Thank you for looking after him.

    • Would Leon install a new double oven? Our eye level double oven was installed when we had our kitchen installed around 20 years ago and will need to be replaced with similar. I think we had 2 people to install it then - so does Leon work alone?
    • My car was registered in 2004. Automatic, ULEZ compatible.  Used to use it daily for work until 2016 when retired. Still used 3-5 days weekly after that as was doing voluntary work. My mobility has gradually declined and  it is painful to walk.. Family live in Kent, Essex and Sussex - so need car to visit them. My car battery is 2 years old - when had to call out RAC to assist at home as it was dead, they found it was the original battery installed in 2004!! My car is essential - shopping each week, being able to go to garden centres, or DIY stores, taking the cat to the vet and  other social activities. I now only half fill with petrol every 3- 4 weeks, so save that way. I am careful  with my finances and would be lost without the car. It is regularly maintained (Turners).
    • I remember Tesco- it was on the corner of North Cross Road where Superdrug is now. Very small if I remember correctly.  We shop in Pound land - having discovered that shampoo and conditioner (brand names) were only £1 each. Good selection of most things that we need on a regular basis. It is better than the one in Peckham. Never noticed loud music when I have been in there and have always found the staff helpful and cheerful.
