I went out to feed our 4 guinea pigs this morning but only found one left in our outside hutch. All the doors were secure and shut. I find it hard to believe someone would make their way in to our garden (not impossible but difficult) to release 3 guinea pigs .

This is just a request if you see one or remains of one please get in touch it will help my daughters get closure on what happened to them . We are on gowlett rd.

many thanks

They were 1 black and 2 ginger guinea pigs

This might not be helpful but Might offer you an explanation. I used to put our guinea pigs in their outdoor hutch during the day. It soon became apparent that a squirrel visited them daily. Then the squirrel let them out and then squirrel also learnt to lock the door after letting them out too! We eventually had to keep them in the house unless we were at home all the time because of this! We came home to find a cat stalking them with their hutch door locked. Our immediate thought was it had to be the squirrel! I do hope the piggies return they are such lovely pets, my kids were devastated when ours died.

    • Yes, we have a Casio CT-S100 we no longer need, except I dont think we have the headphones any more. It has a USB connection. £50? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7333639
    • Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!
    • Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped? Our team carry scanners on our daily routes & will of course be looking our for her. I hope you are reunited with her soon. If not already, notify your street & surrounding streets (find out if they have Whatsapp groups) Dox will print & deliver free missing posters https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ Call her at dusk & dawn when street & foot traffic is at its lowest.
