For a takeaway we use Mirash but to eat in we enjoy the Indian dining club. It is a little further away on the Dulwich/Norwood border. They are good if you are after something a little different to the norm.

Again just had a parcel arrive this morning posted first class on 3/9/20. Although it was sent by Royal Mail it appeared to be delivered by another company unless Royal Mail have changed their uniform to black and royal blue. so maybe they are hiring in people to deal with the back log. I?m still missing lots of things! I send anything important by UPS or Hermes at the moment as they seem more reliable than the mail.

Just received a parcel today posted first class on 10/7/20

I had a guy fitting the same description and the same story on Ulverscroft rd a couple of weeks ago. He asked me for money as he?d just got out of prison. I told him I didn?t have any cash in the house he said ok and left but slammed my get ridiculously hard on the way out!

A birthday card to my son posted first class on the 22nd August arrived today. I?m missing about 4 parcels and we rarely get post. It?s not good.

I?ve had no water since first thing this morning. There?s a new leak at the north cross rd end of the rd. Thames water has turned up but I over heard them say to someone they hadn?t turned the water off yet which confused me as I don?t have water. I lost the piece of paper with the road WhatsApp group before adding it on my phone so any updated info would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I haven?t had post for 2 weeks!

I?ve got so many parcels missing. My previous complaints were met with unsatisfactory response. It basically said there was nothing they could do. It?s not always possibly to request people send parcels by courier instead. Plus don?t use parcelforce (part of Royal Mail) as they?ve just about broken every parcel! Getting stuff delivered in Se22 is a complete nightmare and I?m fed up. Also When I suggested there was theft going on to Royal Mail Peckham office they said they had had no other complaints of that nature. That is clearly untrue.

It?s so you don?t pass anything on to someone. With a card you can tap and go.

I?m on Ulverscroft rd, just had a random guy knock on my door now. I was already up in my bedroom so chose not to open the door as it?s quite late for an uninvited person to come round. Has anyone else had him knock their door tonight? On the 25th November I also had someone knock at 9:45pm which I feel is a bit too late for door to door knockers.

Just thought I?d let everyone know that GAME have refunded me for our missing item. The Royal Mail did track it as delivered to our address which it was not. In January we had a bank card go missing with Royal Mail and we still haven?t got all our money back from when the card was fraudulently used. I actually dread anything that comes by Royal Mail. Sue - we had an absolute nightmare with eBay taking the buyers side. We sold an item for ?350 the buyer received the item and then stabbed it with what looks like a screwdriver repeatedly. Despite having the photos of what it looked like when we sent it they sided with the buyer and we were left ?350 out of pocket. I spent months trying to sort it out but in the end they refused to make further contact over the matter. Uggggh

We?ve just had 2 reasonably well dressed ladies knock our door and ask if we know anyone who speaks Portuguese! When told no they disappeared pretty quickly. We are on Ulverscroft rd. Anyone had anything similar today? Seems really odd!

I?m glad other people are talking up about this. My son had a game being delivered from GAME. I was working from home on the 8th of October when Royal Mail tracked the parcel as delivered to my address. Nothing arrived. GAME is still investigating we are still without the game ordered or the cash that was paid for it. I?ve had so much mail go missing for over a year now. I had a parcel tracked as being delivered to my neighbour opposite who I trust completely and she had no parcel for me. I complained to Royal Mail who just sent me an email saying there was nothing they can do. With the most recent missing parcel they just told me to contact the company I ordered the product with as if it is tracked as being delivered then it has been delivered!! I now dread if anything is due to come by Royal Mail as the chances are you aren?t going to receive it. The postman even gave my son a parcel saying it was for him he took it and when I looked at it was for someone 3 doors down. That situation only got sorted as I put a note through a neighbours door to say I had it. I?m so fed up of the postal service now. That being said I think I?m very unlucky as I had an amazon parcel that was to be signed for left behind a bin apparently. I only went out for 15 minutes and that went missing. I also had a Fed Ex parcel delivered to a wrong address too. Anyone on Ulverscroft rd if you have a parcel delivered to you that has not been collected pls could you attempt delivery to the correct address as I have no idea where my parcel has been delivered but it certainly wasn?t at my address!

I?ve had quite a lot of missing post. I got a card through the door stating I had missed a parcel but that parcel has never been found and now the worst of all! I set up young person accounts so my sons could have their own bank cards. The cards never turned up. We ordered new cards which turned up quickly. On checking the accounts one of my son?s was missing nearly half of his money. Went in to the bank and were assured that we?d get the missing money back in 24hrs. Having visited the bank again as I?ve had no correspondence from them in the post and no money returned they have said it?s a particularly complex case as whoever got their hands on the card has not only made many transactions they?ve also been moving money in and out of the account as well. The bank has advised that we need to wait 20 days before they can let us know what is going on. I really feel the cards that never arrived were intercepted by someone working for the postal service. I?m literally not ordering anything that comes by Royal Mail anymore and only opting for things that come by courier.

I was in the shower when my doorbell rang yesterday and I realised I wouldn?t get to the door in time to answer it. When I can down there was a card through the door saying a parcel had been left with a neighbour across the road for me. Unfortunately when I went over there they had a parcel for their direct neighbour but not for myself. If you happened to take in a parcel from Royal Mail on Wednesday 10th of October on the Whateley rd end of Ulverscroft rd could you please come round with a parcel as I don?t know what house it?s actually at! If all else fails and you have a parcel that is not being collected please return to Royal Mail who will hopefully then redeliver! I was actually really happy that I didn?t have to return to the nightmare that is the highshore road sorting office to collect a parcel but now I don?t know if I will ever find my parcel! I?ve had loads of mail missing over the last months and interestingly mail delivered for completely different roads which I then redeliver myself! Here?s hoping the service improves!

My son was attacked in Peckham Rye Park on the 1st of October by a young child about the same age as him. Some of his friends have encountered this child before causing problems with them. It may be unrelated but if you'd like to compare notes on the attacker feel free to DM me. Our incident was reported to the police but I received a letter today saying they've closed the case due to insufficient evidence, which is so frustrating. This child physically hurt my child and even got him on the floor and put his hands round his throat leaving him struggling for breath. Fortunately some brilliant park goers intervened but had they not it could have been a lot worse.

I was on the number 12 bus on Sunday and there were four young children stamping on the daffodils that run along the edge of Peckham Rye park. Such a shame.

Sorry to revive this post over the same issues. This morning over 60 mins waiting to talk to someone only to get through to a really rude and unhelpful receptionist. Considering I was trying to get a follow up appt after a trip to a and e with no improvement even after prescribed drugs are finished. The receptionist suggested staying in bed and resting until next available appt on the 11th. I never attempt to even go to the doctor now unless it is serious haven't been for about 2 years and things seem to have got worse. Where is there a decent medical centre. I've had enough of Dulwich medical centre now.

I'm sad about this tree too. I didn't think it looked large enough to cause any damage.

I agree it is expensive but if you go on a Monday it's almost the same price as going to a 3d film in Peckham if you get a family ticket. I love the comfy seats at ED picture house and enjoyed the quality.

I am quite shocked by some responses on here. This child has been taught not to talk to strangers and never get in a car with one. This child would be the last child i would think of to do this sort of thing. She is a really sensible and intelligent girl. Her mother even told me last night that they had sat and watched a programme about this sort of thing and had a discussion about it. My view is if it could happen to this mum it could happen to any of us. When i left mum last night she had just got home from work and was going to contact the authorities, i never said she hadn't contacted anyone regarding this. I said i would put this on here for her as she wanted others to be aware. So let's remind our kids to be aware of strangers and not have a bitch about peoples parenting skills.
