mandymaz
Hi, I have a very heavy 9 month old little girl who is on the 91st centile (not sure of current weight as she's my second and baby clinic attendance has been very poor but she's in 12-18 mo clothes) and is too heavy for our Baby Bjorn and Closer baby slings. I have a back carrier but it's huge and I really need something that I can fit under the buggy to use in emergency buggy refusal situations! Anyone tried out anything that is going to be big enough for her and isn't going to cripple my back? Thanks in advance, Mandy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25414-baby-carriers-for-9-month-old/ Share on other sites
sanity girl
I'd go for a soft structured carrier like an ergo, manduco or beco gemini. They are pricey new but you should be able to find one second hand. By far the most comfortable for bigger babies Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25414-baby-carriers-for-9-month-old/#findComment-573888 Share on other sites
HollieES
Second shout for the ergo - I used mine a lot from around this age and can still carry my hefty 21 month old in it comfortably. You're welcome to try mine out for a day if you'd like to.Hollie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25414-baby-carriers-for-9-month-old/#findComment-573923 Share on other sites
Knomester
Mandy, you're welcome to give our beco gemini a try when we meet up next Friday morning - remind me to bring it with me. I still carry Baby Knomester in it and he was 2 last week. Otherwise there is a sling library where you can try them and you can hire from Slumberoo to try them out before you buy. mandymaz
Thanks everyone - it would be great to try out both of those, Hollie can you send me your details by PM and when would be good to pick it up? I'm around most days. And "lady of many online names" Knomester that would also be great. Thanks! x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25414-baby-carriers-for-9-month-old/#findComment-573958 Share on other sites
