My wife and I have developed mild sore throats so I got tested at the Dome today - a drive-through.

All very efficient and painless and about 20 cars at the huge Dome carpark with any number of his-vis staff waving you through. You do the test yourself whilst being watched by staff with your windows closed. They only open an inch to give you the pack and an inch at the end to pop it in a box. Slight gag and mild irritation to the nose but nothing untoward.

I did consider a nearer walk-in but as you said my instinct is that it would potentially be riskier (though probably isn't).

It's an outdoor venue and the guys and gals you deal with stay away from your car, only passing the kit and guidance through you car window which remains marginally ajar as instructed (not sure if you can turn up without a vehicle). They did a good job I reckon and it looked a lot less risky than pubs, loos, service stations, shops, gyms etc. simply because of the distancing measures in place. 18 hours for a result. Good job.

    • Hello, I’m currently looking to buy Jellycat soft toys and LEGO sets for my children. If you have any available for sale, please feel free to message me. Thank you!
    • Useful link, thanks. I see that neither of the Dulwich Hill councillors are standing again but one of the new Labour candidates for DH recently left the Lib Dems… The Greens are led by someone who left the Lib Dems and full of people who left Labour. Reform is full of those who left the Tories. And the Tories are full of those who left our planet some time ago. Confused? You will be!
    • I'm sorry to learn that though Liam does seems well qualified. Hopefully with McAsh gone, Southwark Labour will turn to Charlie to fill the gap.
    • As I understand it Charlie Smith did put himself forward for selection in GG but Labour members chose someone else to represent them, Liam McGrath https://southwarklabour.com/our-candidates/   It'll be interesting to see if there are other defections - surely the Greens want a drip, drip, drip of news from now to May suggesting the momentum is with them.
