Paralympics outclassed the Olympics

To my surprise I'm very impressed with the paralympics. It felt far less commercial and more about individuals and their problems and overcoming them. I went to the site yesterday for the 7 a side football which was quite boring but I was impressed that 17 men with cerebral palsy could put on such a show. It was probably the only place in Britain where British flags waved and British people cheered on Russians and Iranians. I still don't like the Olympics , because of the over involvement of Mamon and stupid rules in London, but yes lets have the paralympics again.

  It's grass. It will regrow. It's not native fauna, wild meadows etc. Just like many of our gardens, it's ornamental. You could argue that most of our park land is ornamental rather than a nature reserve. Would time not be better spent getting involved with a wildlife trust or similar charity?

  That photo bottom right (from the pictures posted on X), is that really Peckham Rye Park? Looks like the Sierras after a fire when there were only burned twigs, before a rainstorm happened.

  I’d like to see an inspection by the councillors, with a photo in the media - just so we know that they are aware of this. I’m all for a party but this damage is awful
