My son is a keen reader but im running out of book series to keep him motivated, I welcome any ideas or suggestions.

He has read all the following:

Mr Gum series

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series

Captin Underpants and whatever long winded titles follows

Most Roald Dahl books

Mr Stink

Horrid Henry ( he says he is to Old for any more of these)

We haev not gone down the Potter route as he gets a bit disheartened if he sees more than 300 pages. He has tried the Dragon Quest books but he was not that keen,I was hoping he might like the Famous five but the front covers look a bit old fashioned and I think this put him off.

Sadly a front cover can make or break a book purchase.

Boys are so hard to buy for in all aspects, shoes, clothes, coats, books, gamees etc I wonder if I would have this trouble if they were both girls?

My 7 year old son is reading the Lucy and Stephen Hawkings books about a kid called George who goes travelling in space - they're great, like Dr Who but aimed at 7+ and lots of educational stuff about physics and astronomy: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Georges-Secret-Universe-Lucy-Hawking/dp/055255958X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347295557&sr=8-1

He's also just read this which he LOVED: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Great-Hamster-Massacre-Katie-Davies/dp/1847385958/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1347295686&sr=1-1 - The Great Hamster Massacre by Katie Davies (wife of Alan)

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
