  1. Nunhead Community Choir, Thursday night 7.45-9.30pm at Ivydale school just off Peckham Rye. It’s non audition and we sing a broad range of music, then go to the pub afterwards. Lots of gigs if you like to perform but no pressure! Have a look at our website for more details and to arrange your first free session to see if it’s for you! https://nunheadchoir.wordpress.com/
  2. Hi there! I’m wondering if anyone has used Dulwich Design Kitchens on Lordship Lane for their fitted kitchen? If you have I’d love to know how the experience was dealing with them and what the quality was like, as I’m choosing between a couple of kitchen designers. Many thanks!
  3. Hello, did you find a trombone teacher? Pop into South London Music and they have a list of a number of local teachers.
  4. I left my lovely winter coat at the "club local" event upstairs at the East dulwich tavern on Friday 5th feb. Neither the pub nor the organisers can find it and I'm desperate to get it back. It's navy blue, wool with a silk trim on the sleeves and hem, made by NW3. It also has grey gloves and an Oyster card in the pocket. Please PM me if you have any idea where it might have ended up...thanks in anticipation.
  5. Hi, I don't normally post unsolicited recommendations but just returned from an excellent couple of hours at that new Hamam in East Dulwich. I had very average expectations based on the fact that it looks like a converted shop from the outside and the flier didn't give much away. However, the whole experience was amazing, easily better than the really professional ones I've been to in Istanbul. I would recommend the bronze package, where you get a personal jacuzzi, steam, scrub, massage, hair treatment etc. V good way to recover from NYE excesses...
  6. If you've lost it please call 07879 848395.
  7. Just wanted to say thank you for handing in my purse that fell out of my handbag outside Oddbins on Friday. You have restored my faith in humanity and saved me a massive hassle!
  8. We love the forest hill pools. The learner pool is warm and shallow and the staff are friendly. Michael, who my 4.5 year old has, is absolutely brilliant, and the changing rooms are much less hectic than East dulwich (at least during our lessons!).
  9. Hi there, I am researching double buggies, and have come across the Baby Jogger citi mini double. Whilst it looks like it would fit through the front door, I am concerned about whether it's possible to manoeuvre it round the stairs and into the dining room, where it would live. Would anybody that owns one be prepared for me to borrow it for up to an hour one evening when the kids are in bed? I live 5 mins from Lordship Lane and would propose picking it up in the car, leaving you with some kind of deposit so you know I am not about to run off with it, and returning it within the hour. Thanks so much.
  10. We've been talking of doing this for years although haven't got the funds, time or know how so just a pipe dream! Think it's a great idea and this is the perfect area for it - lots of niche showings for mums and babies, kids etc. Also would be great to see a film at a time that doesn't start too early (6.30pm) or too late (9pm) - v annoying timings for getting babysitters! 8pm starts would be v welcome! Good luck.
  11. My friend was in Londis an hour or so ago and there were kids in there looting...someone apparently called the police.
