A friend has a beautiful german shepherd looking for a home.

He is a very nice puppy and would like him to go to a good home.

He is not for sale just want him to go to good owners so please let us know if there is someone who would like to have him.

Bad idea offering a dog for free.

In fact, you will get people who want him because he's free. How are you checking people to make sure they are responsible and not going to use him for fighting?

You should take him to a rescue centre.

Take this dog to rescue centre so they can check the new owners for you. If the people currently interested are serious, then they'll happily go through the correct procedures to get the dog.

Yes, please please tell your friend to give the dog to a rescue centre. There are unscrupulous people who do horrible things to dogs that they pick up for free. People can make up a story of what their home is like on the spot just to get the dog but rescue centres will make sure that they are properly vetted.

Would really second what everyone else has said, it?s really not the correct way to re home a dog. Someone that just sees a nice picture and makes a rash decision is not in the dogs long term interest.

I?ve had German shepherds and their for life so think wisely.

Hi everyone. I have had alot of interest for the puppy and my friend has found a family member who offered to take him on temporarily until my brother in law is able to get an accommodation.

The reason why we wanted to re house him is because the friend cannot care for him anymore as they want to start traveling etc because they had him as a temporary measure for my b inlaw Who became homeless and didn?t have anywhere to keep him but my b inlaw loves him and is happy another family can take him on temporarily instead of giving him up which he really didn?t want to do but had the dogs best interest at heart.

Thank you for all your help and so much interest for him. If anything changes we will update on here.
