Furniture donations

Morning,

I have two fairly decent quality sofas that I need to get rid of. They are too good to throw away and I would hate for them to be collected by Southwark council for the dump.

Does anyone know of any furniture projects that would pick up? They need to go in a fortnight.

Theres a place on Acre Lane (heart foundation I think) that collects and then re-sells stuff

I've bought/donated a couple of things in the past, they're very helpful

Yes, I was going to mention the British Heart Foundation - there's a big one on the Old Kent Road too.

Soes the St Christopher's Hospice shop pick up? I know they sell furniture.

There is someone called Margot working for the Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network that is seeking furniture to help furnish accomodation for re-housing Sri Lankan families they are supporting. This appears in the Wanted thread a day or two ago. x

The British Heart Foundation will collect, you can arrange this by calling them or book a collection online at www.bhf.org.uk

Yes the British Heart Foundation collect but at a price I paid ?30 about six years ago, but better that than pay for a perfectly good sofa to go to the dump
