Yesterday in the very early hours of the morning, between 2 and 3 am, a drone was flying around Lordship Lane estate and stopped to hover a few metres away from one of the windows of our 2nd floor flat. I didn?t see whether it had a camera but as I couldn?t spot the operator nearby I would have assumed so. By the time I?d made it out onto the balcony (after frantically turning the lights off!) it had flown off, I could hear it but couldn?t see it anymore. Based on the direction of the noise I believe it landed either on Firemans alley or just inside Dulwich park, at the entrance off Firemans alley.

Did anyone see this or know anything about it? It was extremely unnerving.

    • In part, it’s largely down to people not actually caring about anyone or anything else apart from their own gratification (btw, there are better ways to get a dopamine fix)
    • I totally agree it just seems that it a thing nowadays.  It must be due to how fireworks are sold.

    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
