Great thanks for that app..very useful. I don't know what an Italalian sparrow is though!!
  2. Thank you for being so public spirited. I walk through Dulwich village several days a week and have been asked by a number of cars if they were allowed to drive on that road. So clearly the signage is very poor.
  3. So please do you rescued the poor bird. ❤️
  4. Good luck. I live a minutes walk away and will be sure to visit

  6. I really look forward to joining in once my broken shoulder has healed sufficiently. Thank you to all of you who do go on Monday
  7. Many thanks for these suggestions. Much appreciated
  8. Earlier today I witnessed rather clever behaviour by a magpie. I'm leaving food out for fox parents with 4 babies. I watched the father fox take the food away and bury it under a garden bench, for later use. Seconds later a magpie flew down and unearthed the food from under the bench. Very smart!
  9. Hi all I need to wash some duvets and need a laundrette with large capacity machines. Can anyone please suggest somewhere, ideally with parking as load far too bulky to travel by bus/es Many thanks
  10. Young pigeons make a strange sound but a bit more like a duck than a rasp!! Well the one on my garden does anyway 😂
  11. We clearly need a special Bill Oddie thread judging by the number of us claiming to be friends or relatives 😉😂. The nephew I knew (Paul) lived in Brighton (or Hove actually)
  12. I used to go out with Bill Oddies nephew ....😉🤣
  13. I live in West Dulwich and at least 3 times a week see a sparrowhawk in my or neighbours garden with a poor pigeon but also seen them take smaller birds. Always know when it's about as the other birds do a single alarm call and whizz away in great haste!

Perhaps there are others? Sorry to be a PITA but could you give a bit more on the exact location please. thanks so much
  15. Where is the sign indicating it's not allowed? Sorry to hear you got caught
  16. The Sparrows in my garden do use the feeders.
  17. I think you'll find your smart cat much prefers to wait for a servant to open the door on demand and then hang around half in and half out contemplating the world 🤣
  18. If you are sure you were parked in the correct place I would fight it. Very best of luck
  19. Good question and I suspect somebody from the Dulwich Society may be able to answer. They have a website and it may be possible to post question on there
  20. Agree, it's ridiculous. They encrouch about 6 inches.
