Primary tuition

Recommended Posts

I am an experienced primary school teacher, currently working part-time in a Southwark school. I have been teaching for over 17 years and have taught every year group from Reception to year 6. I have also taught trainee teachers as a tutor and lecturer at The Institute of Education.

I have a passion for child-centred learning and a continuing interest in children and their emotional and academic development. I am always exploring new ways to inspire and motivate children to learn. I am particularly skilled at breaking down barriers to learning, such as a lack of confidence, so that children can fully engage in and enjoy the learning process. I am fully committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

I usually provide 1:1 sessions, but can offer Online sessions via Zoom for children at KS1 and 2. I also tutor children to prepare them for the 11+ examination.

I can offer the first session free of charge and, if you and your child are happy to continue, I charge ?30 per hour.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Clare.

Hi Clare

We would be interested in you helping our 11 year old daughter. She?s bright and engaged, but we want to give her some extra support after missing so much school and with entryways and SATs coming up. She also gets nervous of tests and we?d like to help her with that.

Please could you message me your details?

Jon

    • Marveling at the chutzpah of Brexit supporters wanging on about a 4.99% increase in council tax which equates to circa £94/year for the average Band D, whereas it's conservatively estimated* that Brexit has cost each UK household circa £1k/year.  At least with council tax there are actual tangible benefits e.g. weekly waste clearance.  *Based on BoE report 2023...
    • so to summarise, "Party X is stating that Council Y is financially inefficient and saving can be realised or efficiencies made, but when the exercise has been completed, it was found that no savings were achievable". I don't know if you are trying to say that has happened or that if it does happen, that is what would happen.
    • I would respectfully and strongly disagree.  they are targeting Southwark in exactly the same way they target other councils and will have exactly the same outcome  you would have to say why Southwark is the outlier here and not reform for it to be a meaningful differentiation
