Jaflong Tandoori Indian restaurant OMG Bad

Recommended Posts

My husband and I went to Jaflong Indian Restaurant on Sunday we decided to have the buffet, all ok to this point when my hubby needs the loo so off he goes so does all staff in the restaurant and as we are the only customers I was sitting alone not too bad, when my husband returns we had to wait for the waiter who eventually shows up again he then gives us plates to help ourselves to the buffet when a very heavily pregnant lady comes in and politely asks if she could use the loo to which this waiter says abruptly toilets are broken so she leaves, by this time we were just about to sit and eat the buffet food so I asked my hubby oh didn?t you go to the loo? He replied yes so I said oh the ladies loo must be broken then so I asked the waiter and he said no and pointed to where the loo was!!! I asked why he had said it was broken and he replied she is not a customer I mentioned the fact she was pregnant but he did not care she was not a customer. To top this he over charged for very mediocre food the menu stated buffet was ?7.95 but he charged ?8.95. I will never go there again absolutely disgusted by the monetary greed of this place considering bad service as well as refusing a pregnant lady to use the loo because they was not getting any custom from her I can honestly say they have lost any future custom from me and I hope other people will feel the same.

Wow

So they charged a pound more, did you have any extras that weren't included in the buffet ? Hardly monetary greed if it was ?10 on a ?70 meal then yes that would be but a quid possibly covers the extra cost of protecting you as tables have to be further apart, toilets cleaned between customers and so on. Did you complain at the time or afterwards or just come on here to vent?

As for the toilet, in this covid safety world very sensible of them refusing a non customer access, the lack of the ladies details being recorded (as she isn't a customer) presents a problem for track and trace so I have absolutely no qualms with them doing this.

Your post sounds more like bitterness or failure to understand that there is a pandemic still outside your door.

You say you won't be returning, and that's your choice but I suspect after a toxic rant like that it's them who are the winners.

Ps I see you didn't complain about the food so it couldn't have been all that bad now could it.

No I wrote it because they refused a very pregnant lady the use of their toilet amongst other things I very rarely do this but because of financial greed a lady could have had an embarrassing accident it would not have cost them anything to let her use the toilet and it was obvious she was pregnant so wasn?t just someone off the street wanting the loo, I am sure they would not like it if they had a very pregnant wife refused the loo by someone.

They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
    • Let’s not all get scared of the foxes now. Most likely explanation is protecting its den or association with food. We have foxes, and cats and they are no bother to each other. The fox will leave when the cats are out.
    • I remember seeing something a few years ago on TV about a fox that was actually biting through people's shopping / takeaway food bags.  It was situated in an alleyway.  Not in London.  Very interesting in how the  urban foxes brain development has  been affected by their surroundings.   Not an exact quote from Darwin.  It's the adaptable that survive / not the strongest or the most intelligent.   I would be worried if a fox came close me.   Because they might be after my fur babies and they carry a lot of nasties.   Although they look beautiful from a distance or on a 🎄 card.
