best local garden centres

Hi all! Does anyone have recommendations for nearby (driving distance) garden centres?

Depends what you are looking for, I imagine. I like Shannons, in Forest Hill (http://www.shannonsgardencentre.co.uk/) and the Secret Garden Centre in Crystal Palace (https://www.thesecretgardencentre.co.uk/). Both independent, good plant selection (garden & house), very knowledgeable staff.

The Nunhead Gardener right by Nunhead station is excellent ? good range, with knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Cade Street Nursery have an excellent stall at the North Cross Road market on Saturdays. Their website (google Cade street) is worth a visit, too.
