Sloes

Anyone know of a sloe bush around and about? I'm terrible at spotting them so if anyone has any location hints that would be great.

Loads in Belair Park and also at the top of Ladlands (modern name escapes me at mo.).

What do people do with sloes? Apart from sloe gin, which always tastes like cough mixture to me. The stuff I've made has, anyway.

It's a bad year! We have lots of sloe bushes in our garden and there are very few this year.

You're quite right, my mum makes me a bottle of sloe gin each year, and it always tastes like very sweet benylin, I

can't help drinking it though! Probably not a good year, if the blossom was ruined by the wind and rain in April, then very few berries this Autumn

Go buy some cheap Cava and serve with a shlosh of Sloe Gin. Magic.
