Dulwich Tandoori - eat out to help out or not

Recommended Posts

We were in Dulwich Tandoori last week and the waiter asked us if we would like to book a table for the last day of eat out to help out - 31/8. Seemed like a good idea, so we booked.

Just had a phone call from the restaurant to say that they were not offering the deal on Monday. No real reason other than 'management decision'.

Like many people, I have been a supporter and regular customer of Dulwich Tandoori and so am a little surprised at their decision, especially at such short notice. Not their usual level of customer service.

If you have a restaurant booking tomorrow and are expecting to use the eat out to help out deal, it might be worth checking with your restaurant.

easy don't use them again

Just found these rules - nothing about how they enforce this "expected to"

"When you should offer the discount

When you register for the scheme, it is expected that you will offer it during the whole of your opening hours on all the eligible days that you are open and on all qualifying sales of food or drink."

To be honest I think the whole scheme is rubbish. People claim they want to support establishments but always want a deal at the cost of someone else *shrugs again

I certainly wouldn't queue up for half price - may as well eat in. if you eat out you want to be special - or at least not have the hassle of queuing :)
