I saw this poorly looking, drooling black and white cat on Oglander road, near the intersection with Muschamp road (around 4pm)

It's hard to tell from the picture but he was looking very sorry.

Maybe a stray?

Posting here in case someone is missing him

I wonder if this is his usual spot & if you could try knocking on the door of the house to see if he lives there? It's quite possible he's just elderly however, even if this is the case, I certainly wouldn't want him spending his time alone & on the streets...

If you'd like to take him to the nearest vets to have him scanned for identity, I'd be more than happy to lend you a carrier.

Feel free to PM, email or text me - located near North Cross Rd.

I saw this cat last night. He doesn't look well at all. I tried to offer him some food but he ran away. He is very scared. I have searched many lost pet sites but he doesn't appear to be on any of them. I feel so sad for him.

Thanks for all your efforts doolallysally! Whereabouts did you see him on Copleston please?

I just walked Copleston and Oglander and adjacent streets both sides and tried to look thoroughly everywhere but no luck. I might try again this weekend, poor kitty.

Hello Smiley,

He was in my garden but by the time I got downstairs with food he had gone next door and was curled up on the windowsill. He saw me with the food and I tried to coax him with it but he got scared and ran off down towards Grove Vale.

Do you know who he belongs to? If so you could pm me your number and I will call if I see him again? I really felt for him and just wanted to help. If you want help looking for him just knock on my door and if I am around I will help you.

I wonder if this is the chap I saw about 8.15 am on Saturday the 5th, at Oglander close to Grove Vale. He was on the pavement outside a garden which had its own resident cat, and made a plaintive mew or two, as if to make friends with it, but got no apparent response. He had a white area on his rear left leg, and may have had a red collar on. He did actually seem in fairly good condition then, with a fairly glossy coat, though I'm no expert.

You don't need to! Celia Hammond can help trap! They are a really lovely cat rescue. They are v v experienced at catching and trapping. Strongly suggest you ring their rescue centre on

Hi HP Saucy,

Thank you for your message.

I am very much a cat person and have dealt with Celia Hammond on several occasions and they have been brilliant. Unfortunately though, under the circumstances it will be very difficult for them to help rescue this poor baby as it is not a regular visitor to my garden, I only saw him once and he ran off and I don't know where to.

If anybody sees this cat please let me know and I will do my best to help it.

Thanks.

I would also print out a few posters on these few roads, using the picture in the original post,

& a contact number or redirect to this thread on the forum, if this cat does happen to belong to someone.

Celia Hammond specialises in TNR {Trap, Neuter, Rescue/Release} - but this was never my role @ CHAT.

    • It is just a witch hunt. The estate agent has taken responsibility. FFS leave the poor woman alone.
    • As said, why are you not eating humble pie for a non-story? I expect that scores of landlords are unaware or made mistakes in this territory.  And this is not just the Chancellor but a married couple.  It feels like you and others are taking joy in demonising her. The only question would be is the house suitable for renting out?  I expect it is, and if not that is up to Southwark to take action rather than keyboard warriors.  The only surprises are the expense of licensing - surely time for a thread on "is licensing a money maker for local authorities?".  I'm being facetious.  And that the cost of rental, which feels fairly reasonable based on this area. By all means go after rogue landlords.  Be my guest.  I was horrified to see some of the properties rented in London and beyond by family members.  Not all bad. Oh and another question.  Haven't I got better things to do than comment on this 'no story here' thread?  😁
