Hello all,

I am looking for some information to host a birthday party for an 8 year old girl for approx. 30 children in November. Has anyone tried to do this research recently? Can anyone guide me as to what b=venues are open, whether this is too big a gathering, safe entertainment ideas, etc

Thanks

Hi!

Have you heard of Flying Fantastic? They're an amazing Aerial / Circus company and have a stunning new studio down the road in Peckham. They do really fun kids birthday parties.

They are @flyingfantastic on instagram and Facebook and their kids website is www.ffyc.co.uk

You could also just email Edel directly [email protected]

:)

I don?t think current guidance allows for this, although could all change by Nov of course. A recent enquiry I made even before the 6 rule came in found that most party venues weren?t taking bookings.

I hope you find a solution!

    • Hi, does anyone have their up to date number please?
    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
